ABOUT ME

Thanks for stopping by, let me tell you a bit about myself.

I was born and raised right outside of Boston. I love New England, but hate the cold
which makes for some long winters. Cape Cod is one of my favorite places to visit,

although I love traveling pretty much anywhere.

I attended Providence College focusing on Marketing and Fine Arts.
After graduating I went on to work as a graphic designer in sports packaging and magazine design.

I then spent numerous years in retail, as a freelance graphic designer, in the visual merchandising departments of J.Jill, Sperry, Merrell and Saucony.

For as long as I can remember I have always carried a camera with me, I never wanted to miss a chance to catch priceless moments behind my lens. During college, I had taken a couple photography classes while studying abroad at the Studio Art Centers International in Italy. I fell in love with capturing romantic imagery all around Europe. Just after planning my own wedding in 2005, my interest in pursuing a career in wedding photography took hold. I decided to go back to school where I studied portraiture, wedding photography and advertising at New England School of Photography. I began photographing weddings on the weekends, while still continuing my freelance design work.

I’m married with two wonderfully entertaining children. Photography gave me the chance to be around during the week when they were young. Now that my children are getting older they keep us busy with school and sports. As an added bonus, I have gotten the chance to try sports photography, photographing many of their baseball games and gymnastics meets along the way.

After 15 years photographing weddings and creatively designing a variety of visual content,

I have realized what a unique skill combination I have. Expert knowledge in both design and photography have helped grow my perspective of light, color, and layout. Photo editing has been favorite pastime of mine, I’m very detail oriented so this is actually extremely enjoyable for me.
Through my experiences as a wedding photographer, I have learned how to work well under high pressure situations, in an ever changing, fast paced environment. Even with the pressure of leading
the timeline of the day, I try to capture the moments as unobtrusively and subtly as possible.

Thank you so much for taking the time to learn more about me and my work.
I hope you take a few moments to look around. I’m always looking for new opportunities
to improve myself and grow creatively. I can visualize and bring to life what you want to
show the world through photography and graphic design.
